Argos Release Etienne Boulay, Add Pair To Defence

MISSISAUGA – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has announced the release of veteran Safety, Etienne Boulay.

The 29-year old Montreal, Quebec native joined the Argonauts on July 16, 2012 after being released by the Montreal Alouettes on June 15, 2012. In thirteen regular season games, Boulay recorded six total tackles (5 special teams) and served as the team’s backup safety to Jordan Younger.

Boulay spent his first six CFL seasons as a member of the Alouettes where he captured back-to-back Grey Cup Championships in 2009 and 2010. Boulay dressed in sixteen games as a member of the Argonauts’ including their 100th Grey Cup victory at the Rogers Centre on November 25.

The Argonauts also announced that DL Donte Paige-Moss has resigned with the Club, and import LB Shane Horton has signed on with the team.

Paige-Moss signed with the Boatmen on October 5, 2012. He dressed for the Argonauts’ in week 17 against Saskatchewan and week 18 against Hamilton. The North Carolina product remained on the team’s practice roster throughout its Championship post-season run.

Shane Horton spent three seasons at the University of Southern California where he played alongside Argonauts all-star DL Armond Armstead. Horton’s father, Myke, played six games for the Double Blue in 1975. He later returned to the CFL in 1979 and played two seasons as a member of the Calgary Stampeders.

  1. C’est triste! Je l’ai recontre etienne boulay avec Zoey a Toronto. Elle est tres gentille et elle parle francais bien! C’est Elle la plus belle femme! c’est le couple idéal.lils sont faits l’un pour l’autre.
