2018 Fan Favourite Moments

With the 2018 season coming to an end, we’ve decided to reflect on our favourite Double-Blue moments from this year.

One of our favourite moments was the CFL Diversity is Strength campaign. We were fortunate enough to team up with the CFL to be able to give away a pair of tickets and a Diversity is Strength t-shirt to one lucky fan. During the contest we asked you to tell us what diversity means to you, here are some of our favourite answers:

This campaign was one of our favourite 2018 CFL season moments because it brings Canadians together to celebrate our strengths and differences. The best teams are made up of diverse skills, because diversity is strength.

A big fan-favourite this season was the emotional rollercoaster on August 2, 2018 where our Double-Blue managed to make a comeback against the Ottawa Redblacks. David Z said for him, it was “the best moment game-wise”. Jay Nutt said the fourth quarter left him “a joyful emotional wreck”, and he left the game “#littlekidtired”.

Another popular moment was when Shawn Lemon returned to BMO Field for the first time since being traded to the BC Lions. The stands erupted into loud cheers for the Toronto Grey Cup Champ as he walked onto the field. Lemon took time after to meet with his Toronto fans and express his gratitude.

Fan Appreciation Day was another fan favourite this year, as the team literally gave us the shirts off their backs. Though, that’s nothing new… Double-Blue always has time for their fans.

Continuously, one of the greatest parts of being an Argos fan is becoming a part of the Double-Blue family, and the endless memories made at The Shipyard and at BMO Field.
