 Deciding what to do with your weekend can be difficult in Toronto. We have so many sports teams and concerts and musical theatre opportunities that it is easy to constantly have the fear of missing out (FOMO).(Photo courtesy of the Toronto Argonauts)

In order to make the most of my weekend in the city, I always look forward to Toronto Argonaut Tailgate Parties. With $4.00 beer and other coolers and alcoholic drinks available, there is sure to be something to satisfy everyone in your squad.

The tailgating madness starts 3 hours before each home game in Ontario Place Lot #2. How do you get into the action? Anyone with a ticket to the game has walk-on access and parking spots are available for purchase for $30.00. Since the Toronto Argonauts care so much, fans who wish to leave their car at the tailgate overnight may do so until 12 noon the next day! This way, you can hit up an after-party responsibly.

If the idea of cheap alcohol and good company doesn’t convince you, the Argos Tailgates are always packed with BBQs making enough food to go around (and most of the time, they’re willing to share if you ask nice enough!).

While enjoying a drink and some fresh-grilled food, fans can dance their way through the tailgate. Last year, TSN had a DJ on-site for most tailgates and the 416 Beats Drumline was known to make an appearance or two.
The energy is high at the Argos pre-game tailgates and it’s not hard to make friends. The Argos Cheerleaders are always around and ready to take selfies and sign calendars, and maybe the new Argos A-Team will join them for a dance-off this year!
