Cruise for the Cure

This Sunday, August the 12^th, will showcase the second annual Tim and Brenda’s Cruise for the Cure event in King City, Ontario. This unique fundraiser raised over $50,000 a year ago in support of prostate cancer research and this year… your Toronto Argonauts will happily be in attendance!

Argonauts linebacker, Jason Pottinger will be making a special guest appearance as well as providing fans with an autograph session where all proceeds donated will go towards Prostate Cancer Canada.

“J-Po” will begin the exclusive autograph session at 1 PM and will stick around afterwards in order to check out more of the fun festivities.

There will be no shortage of fantastic activities at the event. Live music will rule the air and there will be a classic car show that will have everyone in amazement. Let’s not forget about the kids play area where there will be multiple carnival rides as well as a large jumping castle. The best part is… all proceeds raised from the event are going towards prostate cancer research. 

All families have been touched by cancer in one-way or another. This annual event is a fun way to raise awareness of this deadly disease and earn funds that can help save the lives of those individuals currently suffering from prostate cancer.

This year’s attendance is expected to exceed 8,000 people and there are over 50 sponsors donating both money and materials for the event. Some of the sponsors include CIBC, the ABC Group, Raceway Chrysler, and Hero Burgers.

The festivities begin at 9 AM on Sunday morning and rap at 6 PM in the evening. Pottinger will be making his appearance at 1 PM so be sure to come by and get a piece of memorabilia signed by your favorite Argonauts linebacker.
