The Other New Guy
Twitter and the rest of the social media world has been buzzing all day with news of the Argonauts’ new gem Swayze Waters. And why shouldn’t it be? The kid can kick a field goal from 70 yards away! Don’t act like you’re not impressed. But today the Argos added another new player to the Special Teams… While Montreal native Etienne Boulay may not be able to kick a 70-yard field goal, he still has a pretty impressive resume including TWO Grey Cup rings. He’s also made 127 tackles and 11 interceptions during his last 6 years with the Montreal Alouettes. Boulay was drafted in 2006 to the Als where he was a fan favorite until 2008. After a very brief visit with the New York Jets in 2008 Boulay returned to the Als until 2012. Unfortunately Boulay watched most of last seasons from the sidelines with a concussion. He was released a month ago and is now a brand new Boatman!! We are hopeful for a third Grey Cup for him this year… Only this time it’ll be with the Double Blue!
